Description
The transfer begins to the southern limit of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Bordering the Manso River you arrive at John’s Ranch. On the banks of the river we will have a coffee, and begin to prepare with the rafting team. After the safety talk by the head-guide, it is time to start sailing the last stretch of the Manso in Argentine territory.
In the first section, the tranquility of the river allows us to appreciate the environment, enjoy the white sand beaches and observe the waterfalls that fall into the river from above. Then the Meek becomes more impetuous. In the raft exciting rapids are dodged through narrow canyons where the exuberant vegetation of the area appears: The Velvet Box, Ozone Hole, “Grita” and “Dobla” to the left, the Tobogancito, Garganta Profunda, Éxtasis, Huevo Revuelto, Colmillo and International. . . The gorges accompany our journey through the Andes Mountains.
When the border with Chile is reached, the navigation ends, the Border Hito crowns the place. The equipment is loaded and the return to the Estancia de John is undertaken along the new path that runs through an old muleteer trail. On the way we will skirt and cross streams.
Upon arrival at John’s, there will be time available to enjoy a tasty Patagonian barbecue. Return to Bariloche.
